A feeling of historic elegance will surround you as you enter this gracious Victorian home. Built in1870 by the Van Dusen family, this Queen Anne style “Painted Lady” features 4 bedrooms each with its own private full bath, one with a Jacuzzi tub, making this a perfect choice for a vacation home.  Enjoy a large well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, coffee makers, washer and dryer.  Just off the kitchen is a small sitting room with a gas fireplace.  A small indoor patio area overlooks the garden and gazebo.  Of special interest is the Umbrella Pine in the front yard.  It is consider to be the only tree of its kind in the Northwest.   

Sleeping for 11 to 13 people.

Until recently this home was a Bed and Breakfast.  In fact it was the longest running Bed and Breakfast in Astoria with its original innkeeper- owner.

For the first time in Astoria's lodging history,  we are privileged to be able to give you the opportunity to vacation in an original Victorian Home and experience the feeling of yesteryear with all the modern conveniences of today.

 
 

 
  Enjoy the large kitchen equipped with everything you will need to make your stay unforgettable.  Service for 15,  dishwasher,  microwave, washer and dryer, coffee makers.  This kitchen has seen hundreds of morning breakfasts being prepared for the bed and breakfast guest from all over the world.

 
 

 
  Just off the kitchen is an intimate sitting room with a gas fireplace.  It is the perfect place to enjoy a cool summer night of a windy winter evening.

 
 

 
  You may want to take your morning coffee to this inviting room just to the right of the sitting room.   A perfect place to enjoy the gardens, especially in the spring and summer when everything is on full bloom.  These gardens have been a work in progress for the last 18 years.
   
This is the dining room with plenty of room to seat all the people in your party.   8 people can be seated at the main table and 5 or 6 at the smaller table.            Notice the world map on the wall behind the door.  We have left it up .........  as we thought it might be of interest to our guest to see all of the cities or countries       this "Bed and Breakfast"  has served over the years..

The living area has been newly redecorated with leather sofas, love seats and chairs. Glass coffee and end tables complete this extended living area.

There is a  antique working organ in this home, so please feel free to enjoy...... ........... music anyone ????????

 There is also a 1/2 bath.  Now that you have toured the main floor of this 3000 square foot home, it's time to go upstairs.

 

 
  The master suite is at the head of the stairs, featuring a working fireplace as well as a picturesque view of the river.  The large bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub with a hand held shower. Each bedroom has a small frig and a coffee maker. One queen bed with a queen sofa sleeper, sleeping 4.

 
 

 
  The charming front bedroom has a queen bed and large bath with a shower.   It features a river view,  a small table and chairs and lots of privacy. There is also a twin roll-a-way available.

 
 

 
  This suite offers a partial view of the river, a full bath with shower, small table and 2 chairs, queen bed. Tastefully furnished, quiet and comfortable

 
 

 
  The smallest of all the bedrooms has a queen bed and of course its own complete bath,  a bit of a view and is at the quiet end of the hall.    So take a book to bed with you and enjoy this lovely room.

 
 

 
 

We invite you use the gazebo and barbeque grill and to enjoy the beautiful garden with its many flowers and unique trees  Be sure to stroll thought the side garden with it's water fountain and flowering shrubs. 

Also, don't forget to climb the "Stairway to the Stars" ...... enjoy a passing ship or a magnificent sunset

  All linens and towels are furnished for your convenience.  All bedrooms have clock radios and small refrigerators and full baths, (total of 4 1/2 baths) barbeque grill,  fully equipped kitchen.  Cleaning fee is included in price.  Damage deposit is $150.00 to be returned to you when you leave a damage free home.   No smoking in the home.  No Pets.  Off street parking for 4 cars.   10% room tax is added to the rent.

Staying at the Columbia River Inn puts you right in the middle of the walking tour of the Victorian Homes.  Take a drive to the Astoria   Column, just minutes away to look at the panorama view or climb  the 187 steps to the top ..... be sure to take your camera.
